Bronson Rechsteiner the hardnosed RB/FB from Kennesaw State University recently sat down with Jimmy Williams of NFL Draft Diamonds. Bronson is the son of wrestling legend, Rick Steiner, and plans to take football as far as he can before he follows in the footsteps of his dad.

Tell us about your university/college. What was your major/minor? How is campus life?

I attended Kennesaw State University, a hungry new program with only 1 year of existence at the time. I got to be a part of history as we accomplished 2 Big South Championships and 3 FCS playoff appearances. Campus life is filled with great educators, students, and on campus activities.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

My teammates say my best quality is my toughness, my effort, and my passion for this wonderful game.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?

I see myself as a fullback or a running back as well as a special teams contributor. I feel like the scheme of a fullback fits my skill set best because of catching the ball in space, blocking, and being a selfless player.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

Darius Jackson

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?

Bryson Armstrong is a phenomenal football player, an outstanding teammate, and a great person as well.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

Professional Wrestler

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

I overcame a struggle of trying to earn the starting job in college for 3 years and was finally rewarded after being patient, humble, and staying the course.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

Being a D1 college All-American

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career?

My 85 yard touchdown run against Missouri State

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

My favorite professional athlete is Bill Goldberg, and I try to model my intensity and game after him

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?

Luke Combs, AC/DC gets me pumped before games

What is your favorite comfort food?

Grilled chicken with a baked potato

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?

Favorite actor is The Rock

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?

Workout twice a day sometimes 3

Who or what motivates you the most?

Competition obviously makes every athlete better. I love great competition and competing against the best. My family has influenced me to be the best athlete I could be. My father being a professional athlete set the expectations for myself and my 2 brothers. My mother also inspired me with her work ethic of taking me to countless sporting events through my childhood as well as being a great mother to our entire family.
