Five blockbuster trades we would love to see in the NFL before the start of the season

Imagine Stefon Diggs returning home and playing for his Washington Redskins? Here are five trades we would love to see in the NFL.

I am sitting here watching the XFL and I was thinking how great it would be to see Tom Brady leave the AFC East, but then I thought I wonder who they would get to replace him. I thought about it pretty heavy and then I came up with an insane trade that could make the Patriots better. Let’s look at five trades I would love to see in the NFL before the start of the 2020 season.

New England Patriots trade a 2nd round pick to the Las Vegas Raiders for QB Derek Carr

The Patriots would obviously have to lose Tom Brady in the off-season but this move would actually make the Patriots more competitive. I love Derek Carr and feel he is super underrated. Having Carr, a smart play caller running the Patriots offense and adding a few weapons at wide receiver the Patriots could end up winning the AFC East again.

Arizona Cardinals trade RB David Johnson to the Bills for a 4th round pick

The Bills need to add another running back and David Johnson was once a huge workhorse for the Cardinals. Johnson has two years left on his contract and it is not that bad. Next year is 10 million and the year after is 7 million. The Bills add another back with Devin Singletary and they have a one-two punch that is better than what they had last season. That is an upgrade.

Los Angeles Chargers trade a 2nd round pick, a 5th round pick and OL Forrest Lamp to the Carolina Panthers for QB Cam Newton

The Carolina Panthers land a 2nd round pick and a very solid offensive lineman when healthy. Last year Lamp only started two games but played in seven before breaking his fibula. The Chargers land a starting quarterback and the Panthers find a blocker and a land two picks including a second to avoid a quarterback controversy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers trade TE OJ Howard to the Dallas Cowboys for a 4th round pick

The Dallas Cowboys want to get Dak Prescott some weapons and Jason Witten is not the answer. The Buccaneers trade a very solid tight end to the Cowboys for a 4th round pick. The Cowboys land an amazing pass catcher who can come in right away and become an impact player.

Minnesota Vikings trade WR Stefon Diggs to the Washington Redskins for a 3rd and 5th round pick

The Vikings wide receiver does not seem very happy and he is from Washington D.C., this move makes sense. Diggs gets to return home and play with Dwayne Haskins. The Redskins wide outs become an area of strength and Diggs is excited to play for his hometown team!
