Tell us about your university/college. What was your major/minor? How is campus life?

My University is very welcoming. It feels a lot like a big time family. I am a Business Marketing major. Campus life is very interesting. It’s a big cultural shock especially coming in trying to understand the norms and traditions.

What do your teammates say is your best quality?

I believe my teammates would say my IQ is my best quality. Understanding the offense while including concepts and schemes come easy to me.

What kind of role do you see yourself in on the team? What scheme and/or position suits your skill set?

I envision myself as a person that stays consistent. Playing offensive line you really don’t get a lot of stats so just understanding your role and making sure your personal goals don’t outweigh the team goals.

Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?

That man Marcus Davenport. EL OH EL!

Which one of your teammates impresses you the most?
Jacoby (Bubba) McDaniel. Last year he was our primary backup quarterback but never did I hear him complain about his situation nor disrespect or talk bad about the guy in front of him. Me personally, I think that’s big because the majority of the time only one QB can be on the field. Just seeing him have the attitude he had on the sideline just shows his character and especially his work ethic which is second to none.

Describe a time in your life when you were able to overcome a struggle.

Freshman year in college, I wasn’t playing as much as would’ve liked and my grades were terrible. Also I was enduring problems back home and had to find myself and decide what I want to do with my life.

If you didn’t play football, what other sport would you play?

Track and field. I love throwing the shot put. I had a personal best of 57 ¾ ft.

What is something that you are most proud of? What would you say is your biggest achievement?

I’m most proud of making it out of my situation. A lot of people where I come from don’t make this far in life. It’s a blessing to just be alive. So my biggest achievement so far would be taking advantage of my opportunity and putting myself in a position to obtain a degree this spring.

Describe one of the most memorable plays of your collegiate career?

Freshmen year against Texas Southern I scored a touchdown.

Do you have a favorite athlete or professional team? Is there a player that you model your game after?

A tie between Lebron James and Rajon Rondo. I don’t believe there’s anyone I would want to model my game after .

Who is your favorite music artist? What gets you pumped before a game?

My favorite artist is YFN Lucci. Just listening to music and envisioning myself making plays.

What is your favorite comfort food?

Hot wings. Hot Lemon pepper to be exact.

Do you have a favorite movie or actor?

My favorite movie is Paid in Full.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies?

I like to cook and play video games. Keeps me level headed.

Who or what motivates you the most?

Poverty motivates me. It might sound cliche but just looking at what’s back at home and realizing that’s not how you want to live. Seeing close ones living to maintain instead of living.
