As an athlete, what is your motivation?

The possibility of being able to financially take care of my family in the NFL is definitely a motivating factor. However, my main motivation when playing football is being able to be apart of a family knowing that everyone is striving to accomplish the common goal of winning a championship. Seeing how all my teammates are going the extra mile to perfect their craft really motivates me to be the best athlete I can be.

What defines success for you?

To me, success is finding my true purpose in life, and then seeing that purpose make a positive impact on the lives of other people.

What would your teammates say about the type of teammate you are?

They would say that I am a very laid back guy who loves to compete on the field. They would also say that I am the best Madden player on campus.

What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?

To never simply agree with something just because it is generally acceptable. To never let the opinions of other people dictate my outcome.

Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?

During my freshman year, I remember going up against an offensive guard named Will Hernandez who played for UTEP. Dude had one of the meanest punches I have ever felt. When I heard that he got drafted in the 2nd round by the Giants, I was definitely not surprised. He was the real deal.

Who is the best player in the NFL?

Khalil Mack.

What is your team of choice on Madden, why?

Steelers. I remember playing Madden at a friend’s house for the first time, and I randomly chose the Steelers. To this day, they are my favorite team to watch and play with.

Failure is inevitable in life. How do you handle situations that don’t go in your favor?

I like to look at each failure as a learning experience. Failing gives me the opportunity to grow and learn more about myself.

Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?

Khalil Mack. I have long arms like Khalil, and I like the way he uses them to attack the offensive lineman.

Knowing what you do now, what would you go back and tell yourself as a High-School Freshman?

To find a way to embrace the grind of workouts.

What is your go-to restaurant near campus?

Chipotle.

If your life was a book, what would its title be?

“Into the Singularity.”

What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?

Hans Zimmer.

If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?

Elon Musk. From his outlook on life to his love for space travel, we have a lot in common. I also implement a lot of his business strategies into my own LLC. He definitely is a person I aspire to be like later on in life.

Forty-years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?

A man who revolutionized the way in which healthcare is administered. I also want to be remembered for improving the general interest and culture of space exploration.

In 15 words or less, why should an NFL team invest in you?

I take a lot of pride in completing my assignments and making tons of plays.
