Wow, we are hearing that former small school wide out Vyncint Smith is en route to New Jersey to sign with the New York Jets pending a physical.

This is a huge move by the Jets. Smith played college football at Limestone College and signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2018.

Smith has only five career receptions for 91 yards and 1 touchdown, but he is a big boy with speed and great hands.

Smith’s most notable contribution as a Texan came in Week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith caught a deep ball in the back of the end zone from Watson on third-and-11, which tied the game at 29-29 with 2:04 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Career NFL statistics as of 2018
Receptions:5
Receiving yards:91
Receiving touchdowns:1

Jets are smart to add a 6-3 wide receiver who runs a blazing 4.3 40-yard dash. This will help them in the long run.
