2019 Offensive Rookies went off in week one of the NFL

Kyler Murray was a stud week 1 of the NFL.

Usually in the NFL rookies have a semi-decent impact in the first weeks but not like this year’s class. There were so many rookies that really shined in week one of the 2019 football season that I was mind blown when I looked at the stats.

Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals led his team to a tie and an awesome comeback to go to overtime. Murray looked in control the entire game and also went over 300 Yards passing. He wasn’t the only quarterback that impressed though Gardner Minshew for the Jacksonville Jaguars look legit throwing the ball for 275 yards and connecting on two touchdown passes.

Last night Oakland Raiders first round pick Josh Jacobs rumbled for 85 yards including two major touchdowns to help his team get a victory. Devin Singleterry of the Buffalo Bills carried the ball four times and had 70 yards on the ground he was impressive as well.

At the wide receiver position Ravens rookie Marquise Brown tore it up scoring two times and having 140+ yards receiving in his first game. Redskins rookie Terry McLaurin was another one that tore it up lighting up the Eagles defense for 125 yards receiving and one touchdown. Titans rookie AJ Brown went over 100 yards and also scored a touchdown, and his former college teammate DK Metcalf whose playing with the Seahawks also had 89 yards receiving on four receptions.

Add in the Lions rookie TJ Hockenson who tore it up, going over 100 yards, and this rookie class is going to be serious. There’s so many kids that shined on the first week of football it’s impressive number one and also just goes to show you that you can translate to the NFL with good coaching.
