Can the Patriots go back to the Super Bowl again, but this time with a 42 year old QB?

People can debate all they want about Tom Brady saying he is not the best ever, but if you look at the record books he is, and it is not close.

Tom Brady is 42….

Yes, you read that right, but he is still killing it in the NFL. Did you know that only three quarterbacks in the NFL have ever taken a snap at that age?

Brady turned 42 on August 3, and he is still playing at a high level. Here’s the complete history of quarterbacks who started at least one NFL game at quarterback at that age.

WARREN MOON, 1998*
145-for-258 (56.2 percent completion rate)
1,632 yards
6.3 yards per attempt
11 TDs, 8 INTs
76.6 passer rating
22 sacks
10 games, 10 starts
4-6 record

VINNY TESTAVERDE, 2005
60-for-106 (56.6%)
777 yards
7.3 yards per attempt
1 TD, 6 INTs
59.4 passer rating
12 sacks
6 games, 4 starts
1-3 record

DOUG FLUTIE, 2004
20-for-38
276 yards
7.3 yards per attempt
1 TD, 0 INT
85.0 passer rating
1 sack
2 games, 1 start
1-0 record

*Moon turned 42 in November of the 1998 season. Testaverde turned 42 in November of the 2005 season. Flutie turned 42 in October of 2004. As previously mentioned, Brady will turn 42 before the season begins.

The crazy thing is the Patriots are still favored to win their division. Are you kidding me?

In terms of win totals, the Patriots have the best odds and are predicted to end the season with a league-high 11 while the Cardinals and Dolphins sit at the opposite end of the spectrum with 5. These sites take bets and should continue to update odds like this as preseason action takes place over the month of August.

I do not put much past the Patriots, but when will he begin to decline?
