                  The College Gridiron Showcase will bring back its Small School Showcase for the second year!  Last year, the event had rave reviews from players and scouts with it set up.   Once again, the College Gridiron Showcase is expanding is reach to college players to give more opportunities and exposure!

                  Here is the event in a nutshell:

The scouting staff for the College Gridiron Showcase will take nominations, scout players, and take NFL scout referrals to fill the event.   CGS is looking to take about 75 to 100 players for this group which will be called the “Marshals”.   There will be a cost to this event for these players.   The cost is $400 dollars and I will run down what this covers:

• Insurance for the event.
• Film of practices and scrimmage.  CGS will have a wide shot, tight shot, and drone coverage.  
• Seminars about the Draft Process
• Any opportunity to speak with NFL, CFL, XFL, and indoor/arena league scouts.
• Swag bag with jersey and credentials. 
• Official Weigh-In with NFL scouts.
• Lunch after the first practice.
• Discounted rate at the official team hotel (The Sheridan in Downtown Fort Worth) which includes breakfast.

After 3 days, the NFL scouts will decide who will continue on to the main event of the College Gridiron Showcase!  If you are chosen, there will be an additional $175 charge and then you will be moved into the Omni Hotel.   Then all of your meals will be covered as well as transportation to and from practice. There will be more seminars, another weigh-in, and more activities!  Players will arrive on the 3^rdof January for check-in and orientation.  This will be an information session of the upcoming days.   On the 4^th, there will be a morning session with seminars followed by an afternoon practice.   This practice will be attended by NFL, CFL, and indoor/arena league scouts.  Lunch will be served at the field for all of the players.   In the evening, you will be meeting with coaches about the next day’s practice and have an opportunity to meet with scouts.   On the 5^th, there will be a controlled scrimmage in which the scouts will decide which players will continue onto the main event.   If you are not chosen, all of your film and information will be given to the NFL, CFL, and indoor/arena teams.   IF you are chosen, you will be led by a CGS representative on next step for the next 3 days of the College Gridiron Showcase!

                  The event is cost-effective and gets to the root of what players want, which is an opportunity to get in front of scouts.  SO if you are interested in playing a game where there aren’t many if any scouts and not learning anything about the business of football; we encourage you to attend the other higher priced events.   If you want a true experience on the draft process and evaluation, nominate yourself for the CGS Small College Event – you will be glad you did!   See you there!!
