Diamond Talk: Auzoyah Alufohai, DT, West Georgia | The next BIG thing from UWG

Former Kennesaw State nose tackle Auzoyah Alufohai recently transferred to West Georgia and we feel he will be a dominate force at the D2 level.

West Georgia has been quietly getting players to the NFL for years now, and this year there is a kid on their roster they are not going to be able to keep hidden very easily. Auzoyah Alufohai a 6’4, 322 pound defensive tackle transferred to West Georgia this year from Kennesaw State University, and he is a big boy.

The boys at Kennesaw nicknamed him “Big Z” and that will be the name to remember entering the 2019 NCAA season. Scouts are heavily involved around the Georgia area, but this year Auzoyah is a player that is going to turn heads when NFL scouts come into camp.

Auzoyah was a very solid basketball player in Alpharetta but his senior year he stopped growing tall but instead he started growing wide. The kid is a FREAKY looking athlete. He is a house, and is super athletic.

He plays the nose tackle position and when he arrived to Kennesaw State he was up to 360 pounds, but cut 40 pounds turning it into muscle. He went from benching 225 to maxing 400.  He played 32 games at KSU and finished 15th in the Big South last year with 31 total tackles among all ends and lineman. The kid reminds me of Damon “Snacks” Harrison and this year he will be playing for West Georgia and I feel he is going to blow up.

The Nigerian native has only played football since his senior year in high school. So in four years he became the starting nose tackle in Division 1.  Think about that, now he will take his talents to D2 and I feel he will dominate the D2 level.  Get your popcorn ready football fans!
