As an athlete, what is your motivation?
All throughout high school, I remember a few college coaches tell me that I would never get the opportunity to play Quarterback for a D1 University. This motivated me to work harder, stay true to myself, and prove them wrong.
What defines success for you?
I do what I love every single day and that’s either practicing, playing, or learning football. As long I can do that, I don’t care about anything else.
What would your teammates say about the type of teammate you are?
They would say I work hard every single day at whatever we are doing. I am a leader, and I always come in the facility with a smile on my face.
What are some of your personal “rules” that you never break?
Finish everything that I start!
Who is the toughest player you’ve competed against during your collegiate career?
Ronheen Bingham (Arkansas State, Defensive End).
Who is the best player in the NFL?
Tom Brady.
What is your team of choice on Madden, why?
Tennessee Titans. They have always been my favorite team.
Failure is inevitable in life. How do you handle situations that don’t go in your favor?
It’s this Bible verse I live off of and think about it every single day; Romans 8:18. “The pain you are suffering now doesn’t compare to the joy that is coming.” When things don’t go like I think they will I just think about that verse.
Is there a current/former NFL player that you model your game after?
Cam Newton or Deshaun Watson.
Knowing what you do now, what would you go back and tell yourself as a High-School Freshman?
Focus on the little things. The little things is what is the most important.
What is your go-to restaurant near campus?
Waffle House.
If your life was a book, what would its title be?
“I Lead, You Follow.”
What song or artist do you like but rarely admit to liking?
Demi Lovato.
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, living or deceased, who would it be and why?
Sean Payton, so I could talk a lot of football with him and learn a lot of football from him.
Forty-years from now, what do you want to be remembered for?
My passion for the game of football. I am a humble human being. I always put a smile on someone face.

Because of my grit and my grind, I never let someone out work me.
