Cardinals landed a starting tackle via the waiver wire
The Arizona Cardinals have the top waiver claim right now and they utilized it correctly yesterday. The Browns released offensive tackle Desmond Harrison abruptly on Wednesday and the Cardinals were quick to put in a waiver claim
The 25-year-old former undrafted free agent started the first eight games at left tackle for Cleveland last season before being replaced by Greg Robinson.
Harrison is a raw, talented young lineman with upside, but struggled at times last season when tossed into the fire out of the gate. A change of scenery will be huge for Harrison. He will compete with DJ Humphries in Arizona and I feel he is better than Humphries.
Arizona spent the offseason upgrading their offensive line by trading for tackle Marcus Gilbert and signing guard J.R. Sweezy. Now, the Cardinals land a potential starting left tackle for free. This is how you upgrade your roster. Smart move by Arizona.
