Seattle Seahawks draft needs: 5 small schoolers who can help turn the Seahawks into contenders

Russell Wilson the Seahawks quarterback is the one player on the roster whose position is safe. I feel the Seahawks have so many needs, and their biggest need is getting after the quarterback.  Let’s check out some small schoolers who can turn them into contenders.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is one of the most underrated players in the NFL. The Seahawks have several team needs in my opinion but their biggest team need is defensive end.  After DE, I feel offensive line, safety, defensive tackle and tight end are their biggest needs.

Ahmad Gooden, DL, Samford University – The Samford pass rusher fits the Seahawks mold perfectly.  He is 6020 and 250 pounds and he has a knack for getting after the quarterback.  He is one of the better defensive end/outside backer players in the draft, with pass rush skills. I think he will likely be a priority free agent.

Caleb Adams, OL, University of Wisconsin-Stout – This kid is flying up boards right now. I love his toughness. The Seahawks need someone willing to put someone through the ground to protect Russell Wilson. Adams is a guy that has everything you are looking for. He is 6040 and 280 pounds and has quick feet for a big guy.  He will likely be a priority free agent.

Bo Brooks, FS, Missouri S&T – He is a 6040 free safety who fits the Seahawks mold at safety.  He reminds me of a white Kam Chancellor. He will hit you so hard you will come out your shoes.  He is very similar to Miles Killebrew a couple years who was drafted by the Lions.  He will likely be a priority free agent as well.

Miles Brown, DT, Wofford – The massive mountain of a man in Miles Brown reminds me of a future All-Pro in the NFL. He is 6020 and 320 pounds and to be honest if he was on a bigger school team he would be getting third round discussions.  But because he is a small schooler he is considered a late round pick. I think this kid is a sleeper, and someone is going to get a steal in him.

Jake Powell, TE, Monmouth – Monmouth tight end Jake Powell is a huge target standing at 6050 and 240 pounds. The Seahawks have a need at the position and Powell is a blocker as well as a pass catcher. Give Russell Wilson a security blanket who can also protect him. Powell is considered a late round pick to a priority free agent. Remember his name come April!
