Tell us about your hometown, and what you love most about it?

  • I am from Hesston, KS. I love how close the community is. Everyone knows everybody, and it is a great place to raise a family.
List these three in order of importance and why: Film Study, Strength and Conditioning and Practice?
  • Practice, Film Study, Strength and Conditioning. How you practice is going to prepare you for the game. Film study because it allows you to know your opponent and what they are going to do before they even snap the ball.

Give me an example of when you failed at something. How did you react and how did you overcome failure?

  • We didn’t win too many games during my time at Kansas. We as a team had to always roll up our sleeves and get back to work the next day. 
What do your teammates say is your best quality?
  • My leadership qualities on and off the field. I try and lead by example in everything that I do.
Who is the best player you have ever played against in college?
  • Either Baker Mayfield or Patrick Mahomes
What would your career be if you couldn’t play football? 
  • Strength and Conditioning Coach

  • Room
If there was a disaster and you could either save three strangers or one family member, which would you choose and why?
  • Not sure, I would try and help everyone!
If you could be any television or movie character, who would you be and why?
  • Superhero so I could fly and save the world

Tell me about your biggest adversity in life and how you’ve dealt with or overcome it?
  • Coming as a Walk-On and transferring from the Wichita State track team. Having to earn my scholarship and the respect of coaches and players. I did this by working hard everyday and controlling what I could control.
What is your most embarrassing moment?
  • I don’t have one yet!!!
What was the most memorable play of your collegiate career?
  • My first kick return of college, 91 yard touchdown

  • “Don’t waste your life” by Lecrae
What is the most important trait you can have (Physical or Non-Physical) to help you succeed at the next level? 
  • Perseverance
If you could bring one person back from the dead for one day, who would it be and why?
  • Both of myGrandpas, to tell them how much I appreciate everything they did for family.

  • Schad Daddy’s
Who is the most overrated player in the NFL? 
  • Joe Flacco
Would you rather be liked or respected, and why?
  • Respected. Being liked isn’t always good. You can be liked for the wrong reasons. Being respected is what matters.
What player who had his career derailed by off-field issues do you feel for the most and why?
  • Johnny Manziel, he had everything in front of him and slipped up a few times. Doesn’t mean he is a bad person.
Do you love to win, or hate to lose?
  • I love winning and hate losing. If you don’t win, you lose.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life and explain why?
  • My wife Madison. She supports me in everything and sticks by my side through everything.
