Andre Price, Wide ReceiverPros: Ability to win jump balls. Possesses strong hands. Has made some spectacular catches. Goes for yards after the catch and makes people miss; hard to bring down. Has long strides. Willing to jump for the ball and come down with it. Tracks the ball well over his shoulder. Wins many “go get it” throws. Doesn’t give up on the play; fights for extra yards. Nasty blocker, willing to hit someone.
Cons: Doesn’t have elite speed. Would like to see more routes ran. When fighting for extra yards, he will sometimes take steps backwards to try to make someone miss. Would like to see quicker feet in and out of breaks. Would have liked to see more catches caught in the middle of the defense.
Overall: Price shows the ability to be a possession type receiver who can also be a red zone weapon. He makes tough catches and fights for the ball. He has shown in single coverage that he will go over the top to make a play on the ball. Would like to see Price run more routes, but then ones he does run he can win. He also shows the ability to track the ball into his body to secure the catch. Price shows that he gives a security blanket to his quarterback by being able to win one on one. Also a very willing blocker who can knock opponents back.
