Martellus Bennett says NFL teams overpay for Super Bowl Champions

The Bennett boys always talk about money. They seem to always have some interesting things when it comes to pay days.  I love that they are concerned with their money but this may not be the best time to say something about your money. A day after winning the Super Bowl, Martellus Bennett was asked about free agency and he was very up front.

“I’m going into free agency as a Super Bowl champion,” the enigmatic tight end declared after the win, according to the New York Daily News. “You know they overpay Super Bowl champions!”

This is interesting, because he was only getting paid 5 million this season.  That is not a lot for a very solid tight end. Do you think he will command more money on the open market?  I do and I am pretty confident the Patriots will not pay him.
