Cowboys DE Randy Gregory wins his appeal; Suspended only 4 games now
Cowboys DE Randy Gregory’s suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy was reduced from 10 games to four on appeal.
Gregory is still in a substance abuse treatment facility.
Gregory has failed four tests since February of 2015. The first one was at the NFL Scouting Combine, which landed him in the substance abuse program before he was picked in the second round by the Cowboys in 2015 NFL Draft. A second failed test resulted in a two-game fine. A third one resulted in a four-game fine. The fourth one left him with a four-suspension.
Per sources, Gregory ran afoul of the program a fifth time, thus triggering a 10-game suspension.
