Titans release 2x Pro Bowl safety Michael Griffin

Today the Tennessee Titans released two time Pro Bowl safety Michael Griffin after nine seasons.

Griffin was drafted in the first round by the Titans and has been very reliable for the team. 

The move will be a money-saver for the Titans, as Griffin was scheduled to count $8.3 million against the cap for next year. The Titans will save $6.5 million against the cap
