Could the Eagles end up landing division rival Giants former head coach?
The New York Giants are not going to stand in the way of their former head coach Tom Coughlin. Coughlin stepped down as the head coach of the New York Giants and already has at least one team interested in interviewing him. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, The Philadelphia Eagles have requested permission to interview former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin for their head-coaching vacancy.
The interview is likely to occur Monday, before the NFL owners meet in Houston, according to Schefter.
The Eagles must receive permission from the Giants for the interview because Coughlin resigned as New York’s coach with one year left on his contract.
This could make for a very interesting rival. Considering New York is right down the road from Philly, the rivalry would be more amazing.
