The Chargers have signed head coach Mike McCoy to an extension through 2017 — adds a year to his deal, keeps him from lame-duck status.

McCoy’s record as head coach for the Chargers is 22-26.  This means he will be the head coach at least through the move to Los Angeles if they do in fact move.
