Houston Texans are expected to start T.J. Yates next week; Hoyer suffered another concussion
If the Houston Texans want to win the AFC South, they are going to have to do it, this week with their back-up QB. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Texans are expected to start back-up T.J. Yates. According to Rapoport, QB Brian Hoyer did, in fact, suffer another concussion during Sunday night’s game against the Patriots. Hoyer is now entering the league’s concussion protocol.
The Texans will play the Colts this week, and Yates will have an opportunity to help get the Texans a win. Yates may have to face Andrew Luck though, who is expected to start this week.
Yates, has led the Texans to the playoffs before, having stepped in for an injured Matt Schaub in 2011. So don’t count the Texans out just yet…
