Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford was forced from Sunday’s 20-19 home loss to the Miami Dolphins with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder and a severe concussion.

According to Eagles beat reporter Howard Eskin, Bradford suffered a concussion in the third quarter and had trouble remembering what happened during the first half.

Bradford was drafted by the St. Louis Rams first overall in the 2010 NFL draft. He played college football at Oklahoma and as a redshirt sophomore, Bradford became only the second sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. Bradford will be replaced by Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the fifth overall pick by the New York Jets. He played college football at the University of Southern California (USC).
