Bills head coach Rex Ryan says he has not thought about the Jets one second since being fired
This week the 4-4 Buffalo Bills will face the 5-3 New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. The Bills new head coach was fired by the Jets before the season started, and after the Dolphins game on Sunday, in which the Bills won, Rex Ryan did not offer the Jets any bulletin board material, which is strange.
“I promise you, it’s just another opponent right now,” Ryan said Sunday after Buffalo’s 33-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins, via ESPN.com. “Now will that change when I’m in there? That’s a possibility. But I can tell you this — it’s all about, you’re playing another team. And I know that team really well.
“But that’s really what it is. And it’s no more than that — I can promise you. It’ll be the same way I’m answering it right now until at the end. Now after the game, that might change.”
You know deep down inside Rex Ryan wants this win more than any game this year. A Thursday Night Primetime game where he faces his former team. The Bills looked great on Sunday, so it will be interesting which team shows up this week against the Jets.
