Seahawks release WR B.J. Daniels and RB Rod Smith
The Seattle Seahawks officially waived WR B.J. Daniels and RB Rod Smith on Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release. Daniels, 25, is a former seventh round pick of the San Francisco 49ers.
Daniels was a quarterback coming out of college at South Florida, but this year Darrell Bevell announced he would be switching to WR.
Rod Smith on the other hand was called up from the practice squad earlier in the week when the Seahawks found out Marshawn Lynch would not be playing this week. They both could be practice squad candidates if they are not claimed via the waivers tomorrow.
