Ravens safety Matt Elam has been suspended for one game
Baltimore Ravens safety Matt Elam was suspended Friday for one game for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
The suspension takes effect immediately, meaning Elam will serve it Sunday in a game he wasn’t going to play in anyway because he has been on injured reserve for a season-ending biceps injury since August.
@Ravens: Safety Matt Elam has been suspended without pay for one game for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Elam has been a huge bust since entering the NFL. Between injuries and this suspension I would not be surprised if the Ravens eventually split ties.
