New York Giants have released their starting fullback, and James Jones
Today the New York Giants released veteran fullback Henry Hynoski. This is a big cut considering Hynoski signed a two year deal worth 2.1 million dollars with the Giants in March. Adam Schefter of ESPN was the first person to report the news.
The Giants also released a pair of specialists.
- P Steve Weatherford
- K Chris Boswell
Weatherford was cut earlier yesterday, when the team traded for former Steelers punter Brad Wing.
UPDATE:
The Giants also released wide receiver James Jones.
In 2014, Jones appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and caught 73 passes for 666 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 89 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.
