Patriots are waiving injured RB Tyler Gaffney whom they stole from the Panthers last year off waivers
It is hard to place a draft pick on the waiver wire because a team can claim him. When you place a player on the waiver wire he automatically reverts back to the Injured reserve if he is not claimed.
So what does that mean? The Panthers who drafted him could get him back. They could put in a waiver for him wait a week and when the team does roster cuts to 75 just place Gaffney on the Injured Reserve list.
