New York Giants waive tight end Matt LaCosse and DE Brad Harrah
Today the New York Giants waived Matt LaCosse who injured his hamstring on the first day of training camp. His release opens up a spot for James Jones formerly of the Raiders.

LaCosse suffered a hamstring injury on the first day of training camp. He was competing with Adrien Robinson, Jerome Cunningham, and Will Tye for the No. 3 tight end job. LaCosse could revert to I.R. when he clears waivers.
