Free Agent cornerback Dmitri Patterson has been arrested for felony child abuse
Do you remember the cornerback who just stopped showing up to the Jets facility? Yeah that was Dmitri Patterson, who signed a decent deal with the Jets before just quitting football.
Well on August 1st, the former cornerback was involved in an incident which led to his arrest. Patterson was arrested for felony child abuse in South Florida after throwing his baby mama and his baby to the ground at the mall in South Beach, according to ESPN.
Patterson, 32, met a former girlfriend for a custody exchange of their 1-year-old son and an argument ensued over child support payments, according to an Aventura Police Department report.
The alleged incident ended with the child suffering a bruise to the back of the head, police said. The woman, Erika Medina, 28, who told police she dated Patterson for four years, suffered redness to her neck area and a cut to her left elbow.
