Could Andy Levitre be released by the Titans?
Andy Levitre signed a monster six-year, worth $46.8 million free-agent contract he signed in 2013, which makes Levitre one of the highest-paid players on the Tennessee Titans roster. He is due a base salary of $6.5 million this season, along with a signing bonus of $2.1 million, which accounts for an $8.6 million hit against the salary cap this year.
The sad thing is the former Buffalo Bills draft pick is not even starting right now for the Titans. Free agent signee Byron Bell has practiced extensively with the first team at left guard, Levitre’s old spot.
After practice even Levitre sounded as if his time in Tennessee could come to an end.
“If it doesn’t work out here, there’s other places.”
