Vikings make Blair Walsh a top 5 paid kicker; 4 year deal worth 14 million
Blair Walsh who was a first-team All-Pro honors as a rookie, when he set an NFL record with 10 consecutive field goals of at least 50 yards, has received a pay raise. His accuracy dipped last season, when he converted just 26 of 35 attempts, a league-low conversion rate of 74.3, but the team wanted to keep him happy. According to Ian Rapoport, the Vikings paid their kicker 14 million.
