Patriots give their punter Ryan Allen a three year contract extension

Today the New England Patriots signed punter Ryan Allen to a three year contract extension through 2018, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Patriots signed punter Ryan Allen – who has longest punt in Super Bowl history – to a three-year contract extension, per @seanstellato.

Allen had been set to make $585,000 in the final year of his deal. New England’s punter each of the past two seasons, Allen was 12th in net punting average at 39.9 yards in 2014.
