NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Houston Texans have agreed to a four-year extension with Whitney Mercilus worth $26 million on Monday, with $10.5 million guaranteed.

Mercilus has 18 sacks in three seasons, and to be honest has not been a major factor. This is a big contract for a guy that just hasn’t produced.
