Head of NFLPA says Ray Rice is being “Blackballed” by the NFL
DeMaurice Smith is finally doing something I agree with. Ray Rice the former Baltimore Ravens running back is definitely getting blackballed by the NFL and by NFL teams, but today he said it publicly.
Smith told Sal Paolantonio of ESPN that Rice, who is cleared to play is being blackballed by the NFL.
“This, unfortunately, is a league that has a history of blackballing players. I find it hard to believe that a player of Mr. Rice’s caliber hasn’t at least gotten one offer from a team to come work out,” Smith said.
