New York Jets ink former Patriots RB Stevan Ridley
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the New York Jets are signing RB Stevan Ridley to a contract.

According to Rapoport, Ridley also had offers from the Redskins and Dolphins, but one of the deciding factors for him was the opportunity to play in OC Chan Gailey’s offensive system. Gailey has made several bum running backs look very good. If you look at CJ Spiller under Chan Gailey he was a Pro Bowl running back. If Gailey can help Ridley learn how to hold onto the ball, the Jets could have found themselves a very solid weapon.
Ridley’s market was slow moving until the past few weeks when he visited with the Redskins, Jets, and Dolphins.
