Eagles are working on a long term deal with defensive lineman Cedric Thornton
Cedric Thornton the defensive lineman of the Philadelphia Eagles has not signed his restricted free agent deal, but according to Mark Eckel of NJ.com, the reason is the team is working on a long term deal with him. The Eagles and DL Cedric Thornton are believed to be working on a multi-year contract, according to the report.
Philadelphia placed a second-round tender on Thornton back in early March. However, Thornton has yet to sign his restricted tender. It would cost a prospective team a second-round pick to the sign Thornton away from the Eagles, but Eckel can’t see anyone willing to part with that kind of compensation for Thornton.
