Former Rugby Star will have a hard time beating his mentor Reggie Bush for a roster spot
Before Jarryd Hayne entered the NFL, one of his biggest supporters was Reggie Bush. Bush was an instrumental figure in Hayne’s move to the NFL after he publicly stated last year that Hayne could be a force on the gridiron.
“I think he’d do pretty well actually,” Bush said last year.
“He’s quick, he’s elusive, he’s powerful, he’s fast, he has great vision and those are all the things you need to play running back in the NFL.”
Well just days ago, Bush signed a contract with the San Francisco 49ers, which is going to make it harder for Hayne to make the roster.
It will be interesting to see if Hayne can cut it as an NFL back.
