Phil Simms defends Ryan Tannehill; Tells Dolphins fans to worry about the other players
Ryan Tannehill is the topic of the conversation over the past couple days because there are rumors saying he will land a deal soon near 100 million dollars. Well Phil Simms went nuts during an interview on 640 AM when asked about Tannehill. He says the Phins need to worry about the other players and not their quarterback because he is fine.
“Can we just get off this, ‘Is Ryan Tannehill the guy down there?’ ” Simms said Friday on The Sid Rosenberg Show on 640-AM Sports (WMEN). “Can we stop it? Quit worrying about the quarterback, Miami. Worry about everybody else. The quarterback is fine. You got me? The quarterback is fine.
“Man, he was ripping [it] every game,” said Simms. “You can’t complain about how he played the last eight or 10 or 12 games, or whatever it was. He was absolutely … well, I’m not going to say terrific … he was very good. He’s not the reason [the Dolphins didn’t make the playoffs]. So, please, everybody move on to the next thing. Find something else to talk about down there, it’s not the quarterback.”
