Cardinals stay in house and promote LB coach James Bettcher to Defensive Coordinator
The Arizona Cardinals have finally found a defensive coordinator to replace Todd Bowles. The team hired linebackers coach James Bettcher as their new defensive coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport. James Bettcher enters his third season with the Cardinals with two years as outside linebackers coach after he joined the team on 2/5/13. He is in his third season in the NFL after serving as special assistant to the head coach with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012.
