Buccaneers Hall of Famer feels Jameis Winston should be the pick
Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston has convinced the best player in Bucs history he should be Tampa Bay’s No. 1 overall draft pick.
The endorsement by Bucs Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Brooks should carry some weight with the organization.
“I believe he will show them his work ethic behind the scenes, as well as his knowledge of the game and the feel of the game,” Brooks said. “”I know it’s best to keep all the options open until the draft clock says zero. But I do hope he impresses them enough to pick him.”
“His resume speaks for itself and they will dissect the tape,” Brooks said. “He has done some impressive things at the quarterback position that mimics the pros today.”
