Akeem Ayers thanks the Titans for trading him to the Patriots
Akeem Ayers could not get on the field as a Tennessee Titan, and now he is playing the biggest game of the year. Ayers said he appreciates the Titans for getting rid of him and getting him to a place where he could succeed.
“They made a decision that they felt like they needed to make,” Ayers said, via the Providence Journal. “I don’t have any hard feelings. I just took it as motivation and especially being here on this team, I feel like they did me a favor, honestly. I really don’t have any hard feelings for them. I have a lot of close friends on the team and I still talk to them. It’s nothing personal. I came here and I did a good job here and we’re going to the Super Bowl.”
Patriots always find a way to land players like Ayers who come in and contribute right away. This was a great trade for Patriots, but this is a pretty good shot at the Titans, especially considering they are in the Super Bowl…
