Raiders will have to focus harder on Jim Harbaugh with Jon Gruden signing an extension with ESPN

Many Oakland Raiders fans were hoping that they would get Jon Gruden back next year, because his contract was coming to an end with ESPN as a color commentator. Well things changed last night when ESPN announced they signed Gruden through the 2021 season.

ESPN announced a contract extension with Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden through the 2021 season.

That takes 51-year-old Gruden off the coaching radar for at least the 2015 season. Contracts are often broken, so we can’t rule out a return to the sidelines for Chucky in the near future, but it’s looking doubtful.

The Raiders will have to return their focus back to Jim Harbaugh. The Dolphins will be in the hunt as well for Harbaugh, so they better throw the kitchen sink at him.
