Niners call up Nose Tackle from P/S to fill Ray McDonald’s spot
Today the San Francisco 49ers filled their open roster spot for Ray McDonald by calling up Mike Purcell from their practice squad.
The 23-year-old Purcell has played two seasons with the Niners, with whom he signed as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming in 2013.
Purcell (6-3, 303) spent the entire 2013 regular season on the practice squad, as well as the first 14 games of 2014.
