Detroit Lions need to cut their seventh round kicker, He is BAD
The Detroit Lions worked out three veteran kickers last week, basically sending a message to their seventh round draft pick Nate Freese who had missed three field goals already after two weeks. Well yesterday, Nate Freese missed his fourth field goal of the season in Sunday’s Week 3 win over the Packers.
This one was a 41-yarder in the friendly kicking confines of Ford Field. Freese, who went 20-of-20 at Boston College last season, is now 3-of-7 through three NFL games. The team needs to cut ties with Freese and sign a veteran kicker.
Last week, the Lions worked out Rob Bironas who died this weekend in a car crash. Too bad the Lions didn’t sign him, it might have saved his life.
