911 calls for Rob Bironas were disturbing; Road Rage? (Listen)
This past weekend the NFL lost one of the best kickers in the history of the NFL. I had the pleasure of meeting Rob in several kicking camps and he was a great person. It seems like he was not the same person the day of the incident.
A Metro police spokesman said the investigation into the crash is “ongoing.”
The Tennessean also reported that Bironas’ wife reported him missing just before the accident occurred.
Well before the crash Bironas seemed to be involved in a Road Rage situation. According to the 911 calls he was the aggressor.

“He is dangerous, he is drunk or something. He tried to start a fight with us,” the woman said. “My husband ran down there to see what is going on. I just want to tell the police there is something wrong with him. He is dangerous, he is drunk or he is on drugs. There is something wrong with him. He gave us a mean look. We don’t even know him, and he tried to run us off the road.”
Pretty crazy situation. I bet the autoposy will show more. That is expected in a couple days.
