Patriots could release RB Stevan Ridley?

Last year, the New England Patriots’ top two rushers were Stevan Ridley (178 rushes for 773 yards and 7 TDs) and LeGarrette Blount (153 rushes for 772 yards and 7 TDs).

Ridley spent some time in coach Bill Belichick’s doghouse due to a case of fumbilitis, but with Blount scampering off to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason, Ridley is all set to take on the workhorse role as the top backfield rusher, right?

Well that is not the case. Accorsing to Mike Reiss, his roster projection has the team keeping Boldin and James White over Ridley.

Ridley’s fumbling problem could be too big of a problem for the Patriots who hate to give their opponents the ball.
