Seahawks coaches do not like to use the word “Complacent”

When a team goes to the Super Bowl and wins it all, they could become “Complacent”, and the Seattle Seahawks will now be the team walking around with the Bullseye on their chests.  While they will have a new piece of jewelry their linebackers coach Ken Norton Jr., told Seattle’s KJR 950 that they try to avoid the word “Complacent”.

“There is no conversation about it,” he told Seattle’s 950 KJR in an energetic interview. “We’re working. We’re doing the same things we’ve always done. We’re moving forward. We’re the best team in the world, and we’re getting better every day, and we’re going to win forever. We coach these guys hard. … We are working our butts off. We’re in it to win this thing. …

“That word, we don’t even talk about that. We just talk about getting better. We talk about improving every day. We don’t even talk about winning the Super Bowl. We talk about how much better can we get the next day, winning the West, all those types of things. The Super Bowl’s going to take care of itself. We’re going to kick butt and the scores and games will take care of themselves.”

The Seahawks are going to have a very tough road ahead of them this year if they want to win it all, but I expect them to continue to dominate the NFC.
