Matthew Stafford should have a huge year in 2014

Jim Caldwell is why Matthew Stafford will succeed in the NFL this year. Caldwell had one of the best debut seasons for a head coach in NFL history, finishing with a 14–2 record. The Colts rushed out to a 14–0 start. With the AFC South title and the top seed in the AFC playoffs secured, they sat their players the last two games losing both.

Caldwell holds the NFL record for the best start by a rookie head coach, starting his career with 14 wins. The 14 wins also tied a franchise record. As of Super Bowl XLVIII, Caldwell is the last rookie head coach to reach the Super Bowl.

Caldwell had quite a bit of success with Peyton Manning and then moved to Baltimore where he had another huge year with the Ravens and Joe Flacco.

On February 3rd, 2013, Jim Caldwell helped lead the Baltimore offense to a 34–31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII at the New Orleans Superdome.

Caldwell has had success with quarterbacks and the passing game. I would expect the Lions to continue that pass happy offense and dominate defenses in 2014.

If you are looking for a fantasy football quarterback, Matthew Stafford is your guy. I promise a huge year from the real Matty Ice.
