Dallas Police Department look bad after announcing Broncos Talib was arrested

At 9:53 a.m., the Dallas Police Department verified Twitter page retweeted the following tweet from Maj. Max Geron, the department’s head of media relations, that the department arrested Aqib Talib the Broncos starting cornerback.

…and others. Talib was intoxicated in a club causing a disturbance.

The Dallas Police Department didn’t just stop there though, they also offered details of Aqib Talib’s ‘arrest.’

#BREAKING Talib was arrested at about 1:45 this morning after being escorted out of Club Syn in 1200 block of Main St. #NFL

Todd France, Talib’s agent had to do quick damage control to let everyone know that Talib hadn’t been arrested.

Then the same police officer had to come out on twitter and fix his mistake.
