The Seattle Seahawks have been known as the Legion of Boom, and while they still have Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor they lost a major piece of their puzzle. The team lost Brandon Browner to the New England Patriots. The Patriots picked him up relatively cheap and added him to Darrelle Revis who they signed off the waiver wire from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While everyone might want to fall in love with the Patriots and Seahawks secondary, I believe people are forgetting about the Arizona Cardinals and their secondary.
I think that Richard Sherman and the Seahawks still might have a better safety core, but the Cardinals might have done enough to solidify their secondary. The team drafted Deone Bucannon to team up with Tyrann Mathieu. While their safeties are young, they corners are solid. This team’s secondary is the best in the NFL in my opinion.
The NFL’s best pair of corners is Patrick Peterson and Antonio Cromartie, they have more upside than Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner, as well as Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings. While Cromartie is a little older, Peterson is an upcoming star. He already believes he is better than Sherman according to his tweets this week. These two are going to need to shut down Russell Wilson and Colin Kaepernick and I feel if they make the team one sided they can win. Since a group of Cardinals is considered a flock or a fleet, you will need to remember this nickname. There is no more Legion of Boom, but rather,
Retreat this Fleet!!!!
