Julio Jones brother has now been shot; Bad Luck for Falcons wideouts
The older brother of NFL player and Foley native Julio Jones was shot Tuesday night in a Gulf Shores neighborhood, according to the Gulf Shores Police Department.
This comes a week and change after Roddy White, Jones’ teammates brother was shot and killed in South Carolina.
Phillip Jones, 31, of Foley was shot in the arm with a shotgun and was transported by Baptist LifeFlight from local medical facilities to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, said Gulf Shores police Cpl. Josh Coleman.
The man detained by police for tge shooting was George Bennett Sutton, 53 of Gulf Shores. He was charged with first-degree assault.
